Our client a well-established business in the Construction industry is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Administrator who can manage all aspects of Bookkeeping/Accounts to trial balance for 4 – 5 different entities.

Duties Include:

  • Full Accounts and Reconciliations of Bank Accounts & Visas
  • Control of Accounts Receivable balancing to Trial Balance, including collection of overdue monies
  • Control of Accounts Payable balancing to Trial Balance, including reconciling Suppliers overcharges and contra claims
  • Weekly Payroll of 30+ staff including processing hours through Clockshark timesheet package and payment through bank aba file
  • Monthly processing of Co-Invest
  • Monthly processing of Superannuation, Payroll Tax & PAYG and reconciliation and payment of Land Taxes
  • Monthly Job Claims to Clients, using Smartsheet program to manage project contracts and details, Invoicing Clients when Job Claims certified
  • Co-ordinating with our Director and external Accountant, GST, BAS, Intercompany Loans, Accruals and End of Year Reconciliations
  • Processing Sub Contractor invoices & payments
  • Full knowledge and reconciliation of retention monies held by clients progressively on constructions projects and collection of same

Skills/Attributes required:

  • Extensive experience in Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Reconciliations, Payroll, Superannuation, General Ledger and GST
  • Comprehensive understanding of balance sheet, profit and loss reporting, My Gov ID, Assets, Accruals, Building Retentions, Bank Guarantees, BAS, GST, Journals, Reconciling Inter-Company Loans, EOY reconciliations of Workcover and Payroll Tax
  • Experience in Rental Incomes and relative costs
  • Managing insurance policies and claims – including motor vehicle fleet policy
  • Advanced in Xero software, Excel, Word, Outlook
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to multi-task/prioritiseProblem solving
  • Positive, ‘can do’ attitude
  • High level attention to detail
  • Team player and can work autonomously

Hourly Rate : $35 – $38 (depending on experience)

Days : Monday to Friday

Hours : 8.30am – 5.00pm
