Our client, an Australian owned company specialising in design and supply of casting and materials handling equipment for aluminium is seeking an experienced Fitter/Turner (Machinist) to assist with managing their plant and equipment functions.

Responsibilities:

• Manual machine operation.
• Able to use a lathe, mill, drill etc.

Skills / Experience required:•

• Previous fitter and turning experience preferred (not essential)
• Manual machine operating experience preferred
• Able to use power and hand tools and equipment
• Ability to follow instructions and company policies/procedures
• Ability to carry through tasks and meet deadlines
• Detail oriented
• A ‘can do’ and flexible attitude
• Ability to work in a team or independently
• 100% reliable
• Well presented
• Physically fit (some heavy lifting involved)
• Clean and current driver’s licence

Hours: Monday – Friday 8 hours per day (RDO Monthly)
Start Time: 6.00am to 2.30pm (or 7.00am to 3.30pm possible)
Salary: $34 to $38 per hour (depending on experience)
