Our client, a well-established Australian business and leader in their field are seeking a Safety Valve Technician / Service Coordinator to handle their safety valve setting, testing and service coordination.
Located in the South Eastern Bayside suburbs this is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded person to either learn new skills or an experienced person to continue on in their technical / mechanical career.
This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate who lives within a reasonable distance to the Bayside/South Eastern suburbs and is looking for a secure, local based role.
Duties include :
- Technical product setting, testing and repairing
- Laser Etching and setting valves (training will be provided)
- Using radial arm drill to drill flanges
- Trade work and some repetitive work
- Assembling products
- Performing regular maintenance on workshop equipment
- Assisting with stock take
- Participate and contribute to the company’s quality management system
- Maintaining relevant documentation for all job orders
- Ad-hoc duties as required
- Some heavy lifting involved (25 kilos)
The successful applicant will possess:
- Relevant Trade qualifications to an engineering discipline or i.e Fitter & Turner qualification
- Experienced in using hand and power tools, etching and riveting and advantage
- Must be technically & mechanically minded
- High level attention to detail and 100% accuracy
- OH & S compliant
- Well organised and able to meet deadlines/timeframes
- Able to operate independently
- Energetic and ‘can do’ attitude
- 100% reliable and punctual
- Willing to commit to the role ongoing
- Hands on approach
- Team player
- Physically fit
- Well presented
- Must have clean driver’s licence, own transport and a current forklift license
- Stores / Warehouse experience an advantage
Days : Monday to Friday
Hours: 8.00am – 4.00pm
Start: ASAP
Salary: $40 – $43 per hour depending on experience
